Private dining
A group booking at Riva starts at a table of 10. Between 10 and 24 guests the kitchen sets the food, either the Conviviale or the Riva menu, and the reservation is otherwise made like any other. Past 24 it becomes an event, and the numbers keep going to 140.
The private room sits off the main dining space with its own outlook across the berths, in the same linen, rattan and washed-out colour: 40 at a table, or 80 with a glass in hand. Take the floor in full and the harbour runs along one side of it for the whole day.
An events team carries it from the first enquiry through to the day itself, settling menus, drinks and timings. Birthdays, brand launches and long lunches all suit the building; what changes is how much of it you take, and for how long.
For groups of 10-24, we offer the choice between our Conviviale or Riva menus.
Please note, our menus are subject to change without notice. An 10% gratuity applies to the final bill, and a 10% weekend surcharge applies on Saturdays & Sundays.
120 seated · 140 cocktail
Riva takes the whole floor above Rose Bay Marina — 120 seated or 140 standing — with the harbour along one side and the coastal Italian fit-out handling the rest. It works for a long lunch that runs into the evening as easily as for a set-piece dinner.
The private dining room seats 40 or holds 80 standing. Same linen, rattan and washed-out colour, same view over the marina, fewer people in it.
